Muscadine Granitas

Combine 1 cup of sugar to 3 cups water and heat in microwave or stove top until sugar has dissolved. To this mixture, add 1 bottle of red or white muscadine juice.

Place mixture in a container and freeze. As it freezes, take a fork and rake through the frozen surface to create "snow".

TO SERVE: Fill glass with frozen mixture and then fill with any flavor wine. All combinations are wonderful - white or red.

TIP: Because the frozen granite mixture is very sweet, you might choose a wine that may be a little drier.

And of course, you can omit the wine and add Sprite or a sparkling grape juice. You'll come up with your own version of frozen heaven.
